The name Amora means love in Spanish. We believe that only when the love for knowledge is instilled, education is complete. We are primarily a Montessori house of children adhering to the system advocated by Maria Montessori adapted for Indian children. The Montessori Method of education, is a child-centered educational approach based on scientific observations of children from birth to adulthood. Dr. Montessori’s Method has been time tested, with over 100 years of success in diverse cultures throughout the world. The teacher, child, and environment create a learning triangle. The classroom is prepared by the teacher to encourage independence, freedom within limits, and a sense of order. The child, through individual choice, makes use of what the environment offers to develop himself, interacting with the teacher when support and/or guidance is needed.

It is a view of the child as one who is naturally eager for knowledge and capable of initiating learning in a supportive, thoughtfully prepared learning environment. It is an approach that values the human spirit and the development of the whole child—physical, social, emotional, cognitive.Students are supported in becoming active seekers of knowledge. Teachers provide environments where students have the freedom and the tools to pursue answers to their own questions.

Education is a natural process carried out by the child and is not acquired by listening to words but by experiences in the environment.

Although learning continues throughout life, there is a special window of opportunity for permanent brain growth and learning that occurs in the first years of life. This period is vitally important for brain development. It is now recognized that the sooner the baby receives sensory stimulation and opportunity for mobility and language expression, the more likely that brain growth, development, and skills will be optimized.

Nature has built the brain in such a way that during the first six years of life it can take in information at an overwhelming rate and without the slightest effort. A primary method of learning is to go from the familiar to the unfamiliar

~ Glenn Doman - Author of How to Teach your Baby to Read

We have also adapted some concepts from the gentle revolution of Glenn Doman who created the Institutes for the Achievement of Human potential. We believe the early year of a child is extremely important. The sooner the infant is provided the necessary sensory stimulation and opportunity for mobility and language expression, the more likely that the brain growth, development and skills shall be optimized.

So we use the flash cards for words, math & pictures (called as the encyclopedic knowledge) to enhance their memory. Reading is what a child does without being taught. We just provide them the tools and environment to enhance their existing skills.
