What is Montessori Method

Maria Montessori advocated Education as a help to life. This system of education harnesses the inner potential of the child there by facilitating their development into a full harmoniously developed individuals endowed with a strong sense of responsibility towards oneself and towards their society.

Montessori education is fundamentally a model of human development, and an educational approach based on that model. The model has two basic principles. First, children and developing adults engage in psychological self-construction by means of interaction with their environments. Second, children, especially under the age of six, have an innate path of psychological development. Based on her observations, Montessori believed that children who are at liberty to choose and act freely within an environment prepared according to her model would act spontaneously for optimal development.

Why Amora Montessori

We are primarily a Montessori house of children adhering to the system advocated by Maria Montessori adapted for Indian children. We believe the early years of a child is extremely important.

Montessori is a unique educational approach that nurtures a child’s intrinsic desire to learn. Montessori focuses on holistic development of the child on—his cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Introducing the child to Montessori method as early as possible puts her on the right path to becoming a confident, self-motivated learner. In this method, children learn by exploring and manipulating specially designed materials. Each material teaches one concept or skill at a time, and lays a foundation from which students can comprehend increasingly abstract ideas. Children work with materials at their own pace, repeating an exercise until it is mastered. The teacher may gently guide the process, but her goal is to inspire rather than instruct.

Throughout the classroom, beautifully prepared, inviting curriculum areas contain a sequential array of lessons to be learned. As students work through the sequence, they build and expand on materials and lessons already mastered. And all the while they are developing qualities with which they’ll approach every future challenge: autonomy, creative thinking, and satisfaction in a job well done.

We want to help nurture young individuals who are confident, creative and responsible who in harmony with nature become jubilant adults. Such citizens become torch bearers of our county leading it to a bright new world. We believe parents form an integral part of the child’s education. So we also aim at empowering parents by educating them to enrich their child’s learning experience.

We at team Amora, work towards fulfilling our vision by facilitating each child’s innate passion to learn and encourage them by providing them the opportunity to engage spontaneously in activities that are purposeful. Beautiful, inviting, and thoughtfully arranged, the room embodies each element of Maria Montessori’s revolutionary approach. Their growth is self -driven at their own pace and according to their individual capabilities. Our parents form an integral part of the learning environment for our children We educate and involve and empower parents to be a source of knowledge for their children .This is very unique to our school.
